About Us

      We are a family business Owned by the Freeman Family, and operated by Randy
Freeman. Randy was born in Tacoma, Washington and at 3 years old moved to Monroe,
Louisiana where his dad was raised. While in Louisiana the Freeman Family raised
different breeds of dogs ranging from Beagles, Labrador Retrievers, Yorkshire
Terriers,Chows, and German Shepards. They had a few cats along the way too!
In 1999 the Freeman Family moved to Oregon, this included Randy his parents and
Randy's son Lane. Randy moved to McMinnville in 2002 when he married his wife Kim!
      For over 30 years Randy has been hunting over dogs and raising dogs with his family.
Randy's dad taught Randy to hunt, Deer, Squirrel, and Rabbits. In 1992 Randy asked a
friend (J.C. Nolan) if he would take him Duck Hunting, his friend said he could not do that.
Randy asked him why? JC told Randy that he would be hooked on Duck Hunting! Two
weeks later after much begging and whinning, JC took Randy, and he was right. Randy
Bought 2 Chocolate Labradors, learned to train them to retrieve, and his passion has
grown from there! Randy now owns 4 Labs and trains dogs for other Clients as well as
his own for AKC Hunt Test, and Upland!
      Randy worked for Les Schwab Tire Center for 5 years prior to starting the family
business. If it would not have been for a friend telling Randy we need someone like you
here in McMinnville then Pets Stop Inn would not be here today!
      Randy brings his knowledge of working with dogs and cats for over 30 years, along
with the customer service he learned from Les Schwab to the business.
      I designed our facility so that everytime we take dogs to the outside exercise area we
have to move them ourselves. This way we get to know the dogs and have more contact
with them. We treat every dog as if they are our pets. We want the Customers and there
pets to know who we are and love coming to visit with us!

      Our facility is located in the McMinnville Industrial Park area and we have over an acre
and a half. The building is over 5,500 square feet, and fully climate controlled with heating
for the winter months and air conditioning for the summer months. Our kennel area is
over 2,000 square feet and has a total of 44 dog runs. We have an inside training area
that is also over 2,000 square feet with 3/4 inch rubber mats. We will use this area for
training classes and exercising, and now use it for doggy daycare on Tuesdays and
Wednesdays. Behind our building we installed outside exercise pens so your pets can
release some energy, With plans of adding more to include 2- 7 1/2 by 20's and 1- 15 by
20.
      We understand that some dogs are a little messy, that is why we wash down our
facility 3 to 4 times a day and as needed between cleanings. We disinfect our facility 2
times per week to make sure our kennel area is sanitary.
